I try to regularly engage in acts that prevent me from being taken too seriously. I'm a programmer / activist from beautiful New Paltz, NY. I think I'm a pretty decent Python programmer (for a Django guy - boom). I run a tech collective called slashRoot. Some of you from NY visited our coffee shop from 2009-2012. Don't worry, we'll do another one when we get around to it.

I have been moderating events on a professional basis for about 6 years now. I have also spoken at lots of conferences.

I was on the winning side of an interesting free speech controversy at my college in 2006 that some of you followed.
